What is the interior surface?

Our visitors confide to us that, from the outside, they could not imagine the interior volume.  Come to visit and you will be surprised by the space!
In addition, we propose 10 DOMESPACE sizes of 44 with 500m2. (473 to 5382 square feet).

Surface areas available in a DOMESPACE have indeed no comparison to a traditional habitat.

When we express surfaces area, in DOMESPACES, it is always based on the measurements taken with a height of 1.80meters (70.87 inches).
Beyond this limit DOMESPACE conceals numerous suitable spaces mostly for storage and/or integrated furniture.

Is it easy to furnish?

As opposed to what one can imagine as long s/he has not visited a Domespace, it is not more complicated to furnish a DOMESPACE than a traditional house.  A DOMESPACE is furnished almost in the same manner as a traditional house: you position your pieces of furniture against the plane partitions.  Check our examples of standard plans and you will quickly understand the broad installation possibilities.

Can one modify the standard plans?

The interior installation is flexible and can be partitioned or compartmentalized according to your wishes.  Since the creation of company, there have never been two identical DOMESPACES. Moreover, not having any load-bearing wall inside the building, the DOMESPACE offers the possibilities to any kind of interior the owner wants.  One can thus refit the interior space according to his/her desires or new constraints (for example, a new room for baby, an additional office).  The number and the positioning of the windows remain, but otherwise, completely flexible according to the customer.

If one places more weight on one side, will that create an imbalance?

The Domespace is conceived to support the weight of 150 kg to the square meter (30.67 lbs per sq. ft); this is approximately 9 tons on one side.  Moreover, it is possible to reinforce it to support more important loads, if necessary, for example for a restaurant, offices, a library, etc.

What is the use of the increased level on the sides?

While descending the level from the lower ground floor, one gains livable height on the second level.  Many customers benefit from these free and «nonlivable» spaces to arrange custom pieces of furniture.  A visit really makes it possible to understand the inclusion of all this additional space into which one can integrate the pieces of furniture, for example, a TV, the heating systems, the partition arrangements, the plants, seating, etc.

Does one lose space under the slopes?

It is in fact free space, since they are nonlivable area, therefore it is not counted for the real estate tax (just like attics of the «traditional» houses).  Ideally, by utilizing these surfaces, it is possible to gain more space in the livable areas.

What are the possible coatings on the partitions?

Our partitions of wood (standard OSB plates) are delivered as an «unfinished» treatment.  Many customers choose to leave the walls such as they are, appreciating the aesthetics and the warmth of the wood.  OSB partitions also make it possible for the customers to take their time before choosing final decorations; OSB makes an effect more aesthetic than of the partitions in plaster.  To reduce the abundance of wood in the house, some prefer to cover the partitions with paintings, natural lime, wallpaper, etc.

Can one build a cellar or a garage?

Yes, it is possible, at the time of masonry, to realize large foundations allowing to accomodate a garage, a cellar, or even an annex house under the Harmonique and Eclosion models.

The Harmonique model is then contingent on these concrete structures instead of a simple concrete slab.  The Eclosion model rests on longitudinal beams that can replace the foundational concrete for garage just as the same as for a traditional construction.  A cylindrical concrete wall at variable height can provide the desired space.  This work can be controlled by a General Contractor and are realized by the mason whom will receive our specifications for that DOMESPACE you will be building (total weight, number of supports, etc.).  If you wish a complementary external space which harmonizes with the forms of the DOMESPACE, we propose the Ogival models to you, ideal for the garages, workshops, or garden sheds.

Can we build extentions to the DOMESPACE?

Extensions are not possible because a DOMESPACE has a fixed volumetry; however, nothing can prevent you from constructing independent installations, appendices marrying the shape of the Dome.
For example, on inclined grounds, certain customers use the free space under the terrace to build a greenhouse, an independent space, a garage, or a workshop.

Can we build an exterior terrace?

C'est tout à fait possible. De nombreux clients possédant un terrain pentu ont opté pour cette solution qui permet de rentrer et sortir de leur Domespace Harmonique quelque soit son orientation.
It is completely possible.  Many customers, who have a sloping ground, choose this solution which makes it possible to return and to leave their Harmonique at whatever desired position.

Can the law prevent you from building a garage?

The law can indeed prohibit you thereafter to%2520build a garage according to the size of your land.  For this reason, the plans of the desired garage must be included on the initial file of permit building.
